DUI Sobriety Checkpoint in Arlington and FairfaxOne should never drink and drive because it is dangerous. The Arlington and Fairfax police have announced a sobriety checkpoint for May 1. Wouldn’t it be great if they didn’t make a single arrest because no one was drinking and driving that day? http://newsroom.arlingtonva.us/release/officers-to-conduct-joint-sobriety-checkpoint-on-may-1-2015/One should never drink and drive because it is dangerous. One should never drink and drive because the punishments are severe and it is dangerous.  The mandatory minimum punishment is a 12 month loss of license (with limited driving for work with ignition interlock), a $250 file plus court costs, and alcohol education classes and treatment.  Many cases result in jail time — even for a first offense.  It is not worth it!

Arlington and Fairfax will be conducting a DUI sobriety checkpoint or roadblock on Friday, May 1.  For everyone’s sake, don’t drink and drive!

Here is the official annoucement:  Fairfax and Arlington Police Announce Checkpoint.
